Post Break Up: Things Every Girl Should Do

It’s been a year since my break up with my last boyfriend (and yes im blogging about this! LOL) and there are sooo many things that happened in that span of one year. Of course there is the crying and confrontation and hoping to fix things up on earlier break-up days. And I am grateful that I have a lot of friends who helped me to stand up, my colleagues  who always makes me laugh and told me to ignore them. But things are never really that easy, moving on is never as easy as 1-2-3, there is a process, well for me I think,

  1. First, you have to accept the fact that it’s over. The guy you think you will spend the rest of your life with is not thinking the way you do. You may talk about the future but it is merely a talk. Face the reality, you just can’t cry and cry in front of him asking him to go back. Don’t text him to remember all your special moments together because believe me, he remember all of that. He just chooses to ignore it and leave.
  1. Don’t grudge it over Twitter of Facebook. I know you want to tell the whole world how that jerk breaks your heart but after that what happened next? You just gain some critic on how bitter you are. Remember you also have some common friends including the relatives that could read your post and might hurt them. And that’s my mistake, my brain is so messed up that I told the whole story over social networking sites. And that make us go to No. 3…
  1. Have a makeover. For us girls it is one thing we have to do after the break up and it really helps a lot. It’s a start for being a the new YOU, have a hair cut, pamper yourself on spa, upgrade your closet if you have to, enroll in the gym. Having a new you will give you some perspective and a clear mind on what you should do next.
  1. Find new activities. Your usual routine when you were together will make you reminisce on the past. If you can’t resign on your work, since it is also a part of that routine, at least try to do new things. Go to some art class; enroll in Zumba class or Yoga. Be a fan girl and do fangirling stuffs. Go fishing or something, meet new people, new friends, don’t just curl up in your bed on weekends. Do something productive, it will help you realize on things.
  1. Don’t be a Denial Queen. Admit it if it still hurts, cry if you have to. As I’ve said the pain won’t be gone in a few days. It’s better to cry than being bitter about it.

Time heals all things, it may take weeks, months, years or even decades. But the pain you feel today will not be the same pain you will feel tomorrow. Its OK to think about the past but always move forward.

Authors note: the list is just about personal experiences, it may not be as effective with everyone, at least it is effective for me. And the funny side is, he got his karma in less than a year. I'm not really celebrating that part, it just tells us that everything you do to other people, good or bad, will have an equally good or bad payoffs. And the test if you really are OK, when you see your Ex and you’re heart beat is still the same and didn't feel anything, I think you’re doing great! Ganbaremasu!

In Love

Im inlove with the person named Kazunari Ninomiya, some might know him, a member of Arashi, one of the most popular band from Japan. An Idol who already debuted in Clint Eastwood’s movie Letters from Iwo Jima. A song writer, a TV and Radio host, an actor, a magician, a brat (LOL). He also play the piano and the guitar. A talented 30 year old guy who looked like 17 (does he already found the Fountain of Youth?)

There are no words on how to express what I feel now but he really makes my day. He’s my stress reliever, a puzzle piece to complete my day and my inspiration to continue studying my Nihongo.

Oh how I wish he doesn't  get married first before I do. :)
